What Guys Love for You to Do, But Won't Admit

The men these days can be so much like us girls, whether they admit it out loud or not. Today I'm going to share a few things my man loves for me to do but would never speak of it with his pals. Guys like to be pampered just like us girls, they too want to look their best (Now I'm hoping its all for me lol).

Manicures: Guys make fun of and complain all they want about the time we spend at the nail salon, but take him in for a manicure and after seeing the results I guarantee he will love it and want to go back. That or he will have you polishing his nails. A while ago I kept messing around with my love asking him to let me buff his nails and bring out that natural shine. Finally he gave in and said do one.  When I did the one he was in so in awe that he had me finish the other nine nails. The excuse was that it just would not look right if only one was done. Now, every now and then he will  ask me when I'll have some time to "buff" his nails. He uses the work Buff because its more manly... LOL

Face Masks: Just like us girls guys care about having clear skin free of pimples and blackheads. If you can get your guy to join in on a face mask Sunday and sees and feels a difference, they will want to be a part of your Sunday Face Mask ritual (Can you imagine guys in face masks watching Sunday Football on the couch! That's an Image). Guys love for us to help them out with all that's beauty, sometimes my Love will come to me saying, "Look at that pimple, what can you do about it!" (In full panic) "Can you clean and clear it?" Yes these ARE his words. So at that point I get to pull out my products and pamper is cute little face using the whole shebang! Yes, toner and everything my bathroom becomes  Le Cervantes Spa.

Bubble Baths: If you thought Chandlers obsession with Bubble baths and bath salts was a bit cray well your wrong. Lots of guys love to have their girl run a hot bubble bath for them. We went on Vacation about three years ago to Cancun and we had  Jacuzzi in our room. This man made sure to get in there The Last Day with a mountain of Bubbles. I just stood there looking at him like I was watching a toddler.

Hair Conditioner: This was a new one for me. I have been cutting my loves hair for about four years now and recently I noticed his hair was thinning.....OH MY GOSH he immediately asked what he could do about it. Well to my knowledge that is something that just happens to men, but I found this product at Walmart called Hair Fertilizer and we started applying that to his head every two to three weeks and we noticed a big difference in the thickness of his hair. It looks so much more full now and the scalp is defiantly much more covered. He loves it not only because it helps our his hair but  because he gets a head massage which helps to stimulate the hair follicle for faster hair growth. Not only do we use the hair the hair fertilizer but he also gets into my hair conditioner a few times a week and says his hair feels so soft.

Teeth Whitening: Men could be self cautious about their teeth especially if you mention that the shade is less then white. My love has me order Whitening Lightning's Dial A Smile system via Hautelook to help out his smile. I get to help him out with brushing it on his teeth and and making sure the process goes smoothly. He Loves the Attention.

Now all these are beauty related things that they love for us girls to do for them but are not all about advertising it and its OK I find it endearing really. Its a way to bond a little more intimately in the comfort of your own home. I feel like it is a healthy way to grow a relationship and be able to connect with your significant other in your own girlie world. We will sit through their foot ball games and watch them play Call of Duty all they want but guess what they are going sit and let us make them pretty, and they are going to love it.  That can be your little secret.

Lust for Nude | Maybelline

I have been lusting over the New Color Sensational The Buffs Lipstick Collection, however every time I got to the Drugstore to take a look at them I would find that they'd all be broken opened and swatched! How annoying right? Finally this weekend my love and I went to a Target in the area we were visiting and I found the Maybelline lipsticks recently stocked! YES!!! Not only were they stocked but they were also on sale. So I picked up three of the ones I had been wanting to try. I needed up picking up the shades 910 Bare All, 920 Nude Lust, and 955 Espresso Exposed. Here are some lip swatches:

910 Bare All-
I like this color but I feel like it could be a difficult color to wear on a day by day bases without a gloss over it for other skin tones. It washes out my lips but not in a bad way. I actually like how it looks on my lips.

920 Nude Lust-
This color is such a perfect nude.  This is the nude I see my self carrying in my purse day to day. I love the Maybelline Color Sensational lipsticks Formula. It is creamy, pigmented, and most important the smell and taste are not over whelming. There is nothing worse than a nasty tasting and smelling lipstick. This one hits all categories.

955 Espresso Exposed-
Surprisingly this color is not as dark as I expected it to be, but it was not disappointing. I really love the color. Its an alternative to a Burgundy or Black Vampy lipstick color. The look is more of a Brown Burgundy in person. The Picture does not do this baby justice.

Maybelline Face Studio Master Hi-Light Blush is another product that was on my wish list. I'm going to be honest Mosaic Blushes scare me because I don't like not knowing what the shade will look like on my face. I appreciate its beauty in the pan but I had never picked one up for this reason, but here's to the first time. To be sincere I'm so happy I took a chance on this little treasure of a blush because I love the color and how it adds a glow to my cheeks. I decided on buying the shade Nude 10. You can see how it looks in the pictures above with the lipstick swatches. BEAUTIFUL. It translates to a glowing peachy color. There are three more blush colors in the line and I feel like I just might have to pick them up as well because I am so pleasantly surprised with this one. There are two Bronzer shades as well and the Light Bronze 50 looks like a color I would love.

The last two Maybelline Products I picked up were two of the Color Elixir's by Color sensational. These are AMAZING. The Glosses are nicely pigmented and feel great on the lips. They have almost  like a plush or cushiony feeling. The smell reminds me of a barbie bottle of perfume that came with one of my barbie dolls when I was a kid. That probably means nothing to you but go have a sniff of one of these and BAM there you go thats what I was smelling when I was a kid. The formula is smooth and not thick like a balm. The applicator is soft and is almost has a furry feeling. The wonderful thing is that they wear great and last a good amount of time on the lips. I will defiantly be looking into picking up a few more shades because the price is reasonable and the color selection is generous.

What have you been Lusting over? Let us know in the comments below.

A Flawless Face | Makeup Products

My face is by no means flawless, but with the help of a few makeup products and a proper skincare routine we can get quite close to flawless in a matter of minutes so take some notes my loves. Taking care of your skin is the first step in achieving a flawless appearance, so make sure your taking care of your skin. See what products I use in my skin care routine here.

Today I'm going to focus on the cosmetic products I like to use.

Primer is one of the the products that's most neglected. Many have the mind set of I can do with out it and that was me. It wasn't until recently that I decided to incorporate a Face Primer in my routine, however I have to confess I don't use primer everyday under my foundation. I mostly use a primer when I have to attend an event and I want my makeup to last a long time. There are an overwhelming amount of primers out there and it is important that you find one for your skin type (ie. normal, dry, oily, or combo). The best thing you can do is research research research before you buy. Go online and read reviews and product comparisons, it saves loads of money. Personally I want a primer that will diminish the appearance of my pores and gives my face a smooth finish while holding my foundation in place. Currently I've been enjoying L’oréal’s Studio Secrets Professional Magic Perfecting Base.

I do have to warn you that this jar of primer is SMALL. I put these little bow studs next the jar to give you an idea of how small it was but looking at the picture now I feel like the jar looks super big. This product can run under $10 depending on where you buy it. Target & Walmart currently has a lower price than Ulta.

The product is a light pink paste formula as you can see above in the jar and on my hand.

The key to this product is to smooth it out quickly without over working it into the skin. You want to apply it as a thin layer over your problem areas like the forehead, cheeks or anywhere there are large pores and fine lines you want to fade out.

The image above shows how the product starts to dry up and crumble when you over (rub) work it into the skin. The image below shows what it should look like, a smooth and velvety soft matte finish to the skin.

This primer makes the perfect layer between my skin and foundation. It allows for a pore-less fine line free base. A little bit of this product goes a long way for me, especially because I only apply it to the problem areas of my face where I tend to get oily and have the majority of my pores.

The Beauty Blender is the ideal tool to use for applying foundation. I mentioned the Beauty Blender in my 6 Must Have Makeup Brushes post earlier this month (click the link to have a read). This little sponge allows for a streak free makeup application and wastes little product which is a big plus in my book. Using the beauty blender wet makes it so that the sponge does not soak up your foundation. Instead the foundation sits on top of the sponge and delivers the product to your face by simply bouncing the sponge on your skin leaving you with an airbrushed look.
I like to use Maybelline's Instant Age Rewind Concealer in the under eye area to brighten. Applying the concealer in an upside-down triangle lets me blend the product down towards my cheeks and brighten up my face giving me a more Kim K look. Another reason I blend down that far is because it  helps cover up the pores on my cheeks. Something about how the light catches on the product helps diffuse the appearance of my pores. I LOVE IT!

The only thing that bothers me about this product is the sponge applicator, it looks so messy and gross but the product it delivers is divine so I put up with it.

Here is a swatch of the shade it's called fair and the consistency allows for easy blending while being perfectly opaque. Best part is that its a drugstore product that super affordable.

The last Product I use to get that flawless face is e.l.f.'s High Definition Powder. It took me a while to warm up to this product because it can get messy. This powder sets my foundation and concealer leaving my face with looking pretty good! It is so finely milled that it creates a flawless and smooth finish.
This e.l.f High Definition Powder is a translucent shade. Although I feel that if you apply too much of the powder it can come off as a white cast on the face. I use this powder with a Sigma Large Powder F30 Brush to set my foundation and a real techniques setting brush to set my concealer. The picture shows how messy this product can be. This is why it annoyed me at first. I expressed that in a comment one time and almost had my head bit off by it... Gee it was an opinion about the product no need for rudeness. Any way IT IS MESSY even with that powder puff (I was scolded about keep the PUFF IN THERE) well its in there...

Apart for the messy I do love the what it does on my face. The picture above shows the concealer set by the e.l.f.'s High Definition Powder, and it looks amazing.

These are my opinions about the products I use to give my face that flawless look I like. What products are you using please share with me in the comments below. I'm open to new products to try out so let me you what you like and what you think about the products I mentioned.

Kinky Lips | You Need to Try This

Have you ever looked through a magazine and came across an ad featuring lushes kinky lips and wondered, are those really her lips or are they edited? Well to say the truth if its in a magazine ad more than likely there is some help involved, but don't worry in today's post we will be sharing our take on how to make our lips look fuller.

The first step is to find an exfoliating scrub for your lips. There are so many out in the market currently, but at the end of they day your just using sugar and oil to rub on your lips and gently remove dry chapped skin that sits on top. You can pay a load of money, minimal or plainly just DIY it. A nice inexpensive one is e.l.f. Studio Lip Exfoliator, for a just $3.00 your are getting an exfoliator that is infused with Vitamin E, Shea Butter, Avocado, Grape and Jojoba Oils. Using the scrub of your choice exfoliate your lips by using circular and back n' forth motions with your finger.

The next step is to apply a lip balm to nourish your freshly exfoliated lips. Depending on how chapped your lips were they might need some time for recovery. If you enjoy lip balms with a minty sensation Burt's Bees has a Beeswax Lip Balm with peppermint oil that leaves your lips with a refreshing tingle. If the tingle is not your thing, use a different one. We are loving eos Smooth Sphere Lip Balm in Pomegranate Raspberry, apply this to condition and prep for lipstick while you finish your face makeup.

When your ready to finish your lips use a makeup remover wipe to remove the the lip balm. If you want to enlarge the look of your lips and appear fuller, use a lip liner that matches the your choice of lipstick and outline slightly above the natural lip line to enhance the size of your lips. Make sure to feather in the the lip liner but don't cover the center most highest point of the lips. By keeping this area lighter your lips will appear more plush and pouty. Feathering in the lip liner will also help your lipstick last longer on the lips.

Following with your lipstick of choice use a lip brush to apply the lipstick. This will insure you have more control then when applying straight out of the tube. Using a lip brush will also allow the lipstick to be applied in-between the lines of the lips.

Unfortunately the lips are one of the features that can give away a woman's age, but don't worry there is a way to plump up without using the needle. Using a lip plumping gloss can help eliminate (temporary) the appearance of those lip lines, and give you that highly sought after Angelina Jolie pouty plush effect. Again the options for a lip plumping lip gloss are enormous and so can some of the price tags. So if you want a budget friendly lip plumper look into NYX pump it up lip plumber it is infused with a peptide that improve collagen. This line has a few shade options but by having a more transparent shade like Pamela allows you to use it on top of any lipstick shade without changing the color.

These are the steps you can take to mimic those lip ads in the magazines. You too can have amazing looking kinky lips that will drive the boys cray cray!

Bloggers Tag

1) Why did you start blogging?
I started blogging because my interest in beauty was reborn about two years ago, I had heard of You Tube but I only knew it as a site online where kids went to look up funny videos. It wasn't until my sister showed me a beauty video when I realized You Tube was much more. I was hooked watching videos of product recommendations and beauty tutorials. I started buying more makeup and realized I too would love to have a place where I could talk/write about my growing Love and Obsession with it all. I wanted a place where I could share my finds and thoughts and god willing make some friends. So I thought of creating a channel for Exquisite Glow but at the end decided that I would start Exquisite Glow with a blog and in the future possibly make some videos. =)

2) Who’s your idol?
An idol is a person or thing that is greatly admired, loved, or revered. With that said and clear I have a few people that I would like to mention. The first person I want to mention is my baby sister Carmen, she is such a self motivated and dedicated individual it blows my mind. It blows my mind because at only age sixteen, she has a plan of where she wants her life to go and works hard to make good grades to get her there. I love that she has her priorities straight and I feel like more young girls should be more focused on what matters so that their future as an adult is successful. I as an adult wish that I was more focused at her age. She is sweet and caring towards her family and friends and has a comic personality. I love and admire her, I can't imagine life without her.

Many might not like who I'm about to mention next but hey I see passed the tabloids and gossip because at the end of the day she is just another girl. I admire Kimberly Kardashian West. I admire her courage to stay in the public eye regardless of the negativity that's thrown at her. I have gone on to read articles about her and her family and I can't believe how much HATE Comments are posted. I mean its unbelievable. Yes there are many lovely comments as well but the mean ones are just so evil. We talk about Cyber Bullying and how bad it is, but what makes it OK to bully a celebrity? She is human too and I'm sure that at the beginning of her fame many comments were hurtful, by now she's used to it I'm sure. She has learned to deal and ignore all the negative people and I applaud her for that. So yes I admire her for Loving her self and not caring for what haters say about her. Do I agree with everything she does? No but that's just it, she does it not me, so you do you boo boo I admire your confidence.

Lastly I have to mention Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge (Kate Middleton). I am in love with her style and poise. Not only does her style intrigue me but the whole fairy tale ending that just keeps on going has me captivated. Not only do I admire her sense of style but Catherine is also a big supporter of many charities that help with a large range of causes. I love that she supports and is involved with charity work and using her high profile to bring awareness to many important topics.

3) If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?
If I could live anywhere in the world I would have to say London, UK would be my first choice. assuming that I'd won the lottery of course . I got the opportunity to visit London during their Olympic Preparations and I fell in love with the city and culture there. The city is so old and full of history. I was surprised at how in awe I was with it all, given that history was not my strong suit in high school. In fact it was my worst subject. While there I enjoyed visiting the museums, cathedrals and historical sites all around town. I know that life as a tourist is not the same as actually living there but I imagine living there and working part time at a museum as a curator or working at a historical site learning everyday.

4) What’s your signature scent?
I own a few perfumes in my collection but I would have to say that the one that I wear the most and have repurchased several times must be my signature scent. That would have to be Glo by JLo. This perfume has been in my collection since I was seventeen. I love it because it is not an all day overwhelming scent. It lingers on my skin and clothing softly but noticeable by others and my self. The notes found in this scent are Orange flower, Grapefruit, Rose, Sandalwood, Soft Amber, Jasmine, Vanilla and Musk. It is described as a fresh clean scent while expressing sexy.

5) What’s your favourite makeup brand?
My favorite drugstore makeup brand I would have to say is Revlon. I have purchased many of their products and have really liked most of them and best of all it is bank account friendly. I feel like they do a great job with their foundations, lipsticks, and some of their eye shadows. There have only been a few products that I was not impressed with however others might like those products. It all come back to personal taste and skin types (dry, normal, oily). I am not going to go into detail about the products because it would turn into a huge brand review.
For high end makeup I really can't choose because I can't say I have tried out most items of one particular brand although I've tried several of MAC's products but I can't say that it's a favorite. MAC was my first high end makeup purchase and I like their products but at this point in time I don't look forward to shopping sprees there. You know what I mean?

6) Would you choose high street or high end fashion?
Really I buy what I like if I can afford it. Whether it be high street or high end.
7) What’s your favourite song?
Really I listen to the radio every morning on my way to work. As to favorite song, I don't have a favorite but when ever This is how we do by Katy Perry comes on the radio it instantly puts me in singing mode. Also I love the beat for that Iggy Azalea Featuring Rita Ora song Black Widow.
8) What’s your favourite album?
Currently I have two albums in my car and that's Red by Taylor Swift and Beyoncé by Beyoncé Knowles, so I consider these my favorites of the moment.

9) Facebook, Twitter or Instagram?
I love Instagram. I check it every morning first thing and I have been using Twitter much more now that I have Exquisite Glow. On twitter love using the #bbloggers to find new blogs to read and people to interact with, it has been awesome.

10) Which celebrity styles inspire you?
As I mentioned previously in question two, I really love Catherine's style. I've actually found a website that sells clothing much like what she wears but is quite expensive. Usually I check Forever 21's LOVE 21 CONTEMPORARY line for pieces that resemble her style.

11) What’s your best holiday?
This one is actually a hard one for me to pick.  All of my Favorite holidays are actually coming up, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. However I have to pick Christmas. I know everyone is probably saying Christmas but what I like about it is that everyone is mostly in a good mood during the Christmas season and I wish it was like that year round. Decorating my house is always fun to do with my love, sending and receiving Christmas cards gives me a great feeling, getting together with family to share an amazing meal and giving gifts is super fun. So yes definitely Christmas.

6 Must Have Makeup Brushes

During my days in middle and early high school I didn't know about makeup brushes. My makeup during those days was very minimal and controlled by my mother. No bright colors or ANY black on my eyes and yes that means no eyeliner or mascara. Once I turned eighteen and was earning my own little money I bought my first makeup brush at MAC along with my first MAC eyeshadow. Little by little I started learning more about makeup techniques and the tools used by the makeup artists. Along the way I have acquired many different brushes but there are a few that are a definite must have for me. Here are the ones I use everyday and are essential to my makeup routine. Let me bring you in closer to get a better look, and then we will go over them individually.

These are the brushes I use on the daily. The title is 6 Must Have Makeup Brushes but I had to add my Beauty Blender. I'm getting away with it because technically its not a brush, OK.  Lets get started.

The first brush I ever bought was my MAC 224 Tapered Blending brush. I love this brush because its dome shape allows precise application of eyeshadow to the crease while blending beautifully. Its long bristles are so flexible and pleasingly soft to work with. After purchasing this brush I was hooked. However its price was a hit to the pocket at the time but was one of the best investments I'd made. These run at $32 these days. I don't believe it was that price at the time but I know for sure it was over $25. If your going to buy a brush make this your number one.

Another brush I love using is MAC's 242 Shader Brush. This brush is flat with a rounded finish and is perfect for applying creme products and pigments to the face and eyes. Personally I use it to apply creme bases so my eye shadows can pop. This is also a great brush to use when spot treating with concealer. I like using this brush to apply pigments as well because the bristles pick up the pigment without the pigment getting lost inside the brush. Pigments sit nicely on the side of the brush making it easy to apply to the lid in a patting motion. This brush currently runs at $32.

I always love to put some color on the lower lash line and the Sigma E30 Pencil brush is the perfect tool to get the job done. This brush really helps to smoke out pencil liner and add shadow to the hard to reach places because of its pencil like shape. Its soft bristles are perfect for smudging because not only does it make your makeup look great but it doesn't irritate the eye. You need to make sure and use brushes that are soft because your working on a very sensitive skin area of your face (You don't want to cause premature wrinkles around the eyes). This brush is also perfect to highlight the inner corners of the eyes because of its shape. This particular brush came as part of a twelve brush set I purchased from Sigma called Mr. Bunny and runs at a price of $178. This brush on its own is $14 which I think is a great price compared to the MAC ones I mentioned. [A pencil brush at MAC would run you $25]

Your eyebrows can make or tank your look. They ARE what frame your face, so don't be lazy and neglect them. Take the time to care for them. For that I use Anastasia's Dual Sided Angled brush which also comes with a spooley on the other side to help brush and distribute color through out the brow. The shape of the brush is so thin that it can make such sharp lines that look like actual brow hairs. I got this brush for my birthday last year and have been obsessed with it since. Not only can you use an angled brush for your brows but you can also use it for your eyeliner. I feel like this is a great brush to create an easy winged liner look. All you do is use the length of the brush and touch it down with a gel liner at the angle you want your wing and then work it in (let me know if you would like a tutorial post on that). A brush like this one off the Anastasia website will run you $18. Its a become a must have for me.

A blush brush is a no brainer and a definite must have. Now finding the right one for you is completely individual choice. Personally I suggest picking up Real Technique's Blush Brush. Just look at it, it's PINK! Color aside this brush is truly magnificent, it's extremely soft and the way the brush hairs are cut make it so perfect to to pick up product and distribute just the right amount to the face while blending beautifully. I love the way it blends blushes on the apples of my cheeks and how I can also use the very tip of the brush to pick up a highlighter and apply it to the highest points on the cheeks without getting it all over the place. Spend the $9 on this brush it is worth it! I actually picked mine up at Kohl's Stores and used my 30% off coupon. I LOVE that they carry beauty items I can use my discount on.

Contouring of the face has become such a big thing these days. I don't recall hearing the word contour when I started out with makeup... then again I was pretty sheltered and restricted, haha. Now that I've had more experience and learned more I have to say I love this technique. You can sign me up for anything that will make me look slimmer without giving up my Cheese Burger Happy meal with a Coke no ice from Mc Donald's. So if contouring will do the trick then there must be a brush for it, and that is my Sigma Large Angled Contour F40 Brush. This brush is really a multi purpose use brush for me. I use this mainly to carve out my cheekbones by pinching the bristles the long way making them more dense. You can also use this to apply bronzer all over the face to warm it up because the brush is so fluffy it allows for even application. This brush was also part of my Mr. Bunny brush set but you can pick it up on its own for $28.

This is not a brush but it defiantly deserves to be mentioned because it is the only way I like to apply my foundation now, and a must have in your collection. That is the one and only Original Beauty Blender. This makeup sponge is made of a unique material that allows you to apply your foundation flawlessly and without wasting product. You can use this to apply your primer, concealer, foundation, and even powder. How this genius sponge works is by submerging it in water and then squeezing out the excess following with dotting the makeup product on your face and then bouncing this little damp sponge all over to blend your products. IT IS WONDERFUL! I use it for my foundation and concealer and have not looked back to foundation brushes. I have them but ultimately go back to this baby. The beauty blender is so amazing that it won the allure beauty expert Editors Choice Award. Now how can you pass up on this? Well the price is really the only reason I can think of... at $19.95 on Sephora's website it can defiantly make anyone think twice. However at CherryCulture.com I found two for the price of $29.00 so naturally I ordered there.

These are the 6 Must Have Makeup Brushes I recommend in your collection plus the Beauty Blender. If your going to go out and buy some of these I suggest you put the Beauty Blender and MAC's 224 Blending Brush on top of your list. These are the ones that have changed the way I do my makeup drastically and have made me more confident with my skills. I hope this post was informative and that it serves as a guide to what brushes you should start out with and have in your collection. Let me know what brushes you currently use and love, maybe I can try out your suggestions as well. Until the next post, make sure to check back in.
