Seven Days Of Makeup Using One Palette | Anastasia Beverly Hills

I was so excited when I found out that the extremely talented Amrezy was working with Anastasia Beverly Hills to launch her own eyeshadow palette. I knew that I would have to buy the palette because first of all I wanted to support her and her success and second I've always been interested in trying out Anastasia's shadow palettes. So obviously this was the perfect opportunity for me to show my support and test out the quality of their shadows.

The picture above is a shot of the palette packaging, it is so gorgeous! Have I ever mentioned that I love leopard print? The edges are a nice gold however the actual palette inside is not the same. The edges are more of a silver bronzy as you can see the palette below is not the same as the packing sleeve. I do love how Amrezy's name is incorporated on the palette.

The inside of the palette carries a mirror on the top and has a protective plastic over it. The mirror is real good quality not like others I have seen in other palettes. I personally keep the plastic over it because I don't use it and I don't want it getting dirty. Is that weird? Does anyone else do that with palettes? Anyway because it does have a nice mirror this is a nice palette to take with you when you travel.

Legend is a frosty yellow toned shade that is light enough for the tear duct area and can double as a highlight. Glisten is a shimmery peachy color perfect for the lid. Topaz is a gorgeous bronze for the lid and crease however I'm not exactly sure why they named it Topaz. Iridescent Purple is just that an Iridescent Purple and the best thing of all the purple does not irritate my eye (usually purple shadows make my eye whites red). Emerald is the perfect Forrest green and looks great on green eyes. Vanilla is a nice shade for the lid, brow bone, and inner tear duct. Camel is warm matte orange brown and and looks great in the crease as a transition color and in the lower lash line to ground your looks. Morocco is has more a brick red-orange tone that helps to darken the crease. Deep Plum swatches a bit blotchy but it works just fine when applied with a brush, looks great as a smokey eye. LBD is an OK black, it swatches just fine but I do have to say that the palette could do without it.

The Amrezy palette also comes with a dual ended brush which is so helpful. One side is small and fluffy perfect for concentrating color in the crease and lower lash line. The other side a larger shader brush which can double as a blending brush.

The following images are looks I created using the palette. Let me know which one or ones you like best.

Un Clutter Your Vanity Fast! | How to Organize

Turn an ugly looking makeup mess to a eye-catching collection by organizing your makeup using acrylic organizers. Lets go into How To Organize your makeup. My makeup collection has grown significantly, it went from one Caboodle case to a Ikea Alex drawer quick. However having more drawers to fill just allowed for all my products to be lost, overlooked and just PLAIN. A. MESS! I started looking online for acrylic organizers but found the prices to be pretty steep so I decided I could do with out them. On a trip to TJ Max I browsed through the home department and found a few items that I am just fell in love with.

This little three drawer organizer was the first piece I spotted. Now why would I want more drawers when I have the Alex drawer? Well, first of all its clear and can house items I want to use on the daily without me having to hunt for them. It is also the perfect size for it to sit on top of my vanity without it taking away from the space, and for $14.99 I feel like this cute organizer is a steal.

Here is a side view of the drawers. The compartments are long enough to store mascaras, lip glosses and blushes. One thing that I did feel like I had to add was little rubber legs (shown in the picture below) I added these because the organizer is so light that it would move when ever the drawers are being opened and closed. Another thing I liked about this piece is that its going to be easy to clean and we know makeup can be messy.

The other amazing find at TJMax was this acrylic lipstick holder. This was such a great addition to my storage because I was at a point where I truly needed to display my collection and keep my lipsticks organized so I know what I have. Also I feel that this way I will get more use out of my lipsticks if they are out on my vanity, there is a better chance for me to pick a different shade every day giving them all equal love.

This lipstick organizer holds a total of 36 lipsticks, and I loved it so much that I purchased two of these organizers for $11.99 each! I purchased a second one because I DEFINITELY see my lipstick collection growing some more and I want to be prepared. I have officially become a lip product addict, and as a matter of fact I'm waiting on an order to be delivered today ;)  I also seen on Instagram this morning a new collection just launched by L'Oréal called Collection Exclusive and I already have my eyeballs on that! So there you go, Hello second Lipstick Holder!LOL

I love the fact that the Lipstick holder is tiered and allows for all my lipsticks be seen and nicely displayed without them hiding one behind the other. However there are some lipstick holders in the market Ive seen without the tiers that are PERFECT to store lipsticks INSIDE my Ikea Alex drawers. These particular holders sit nicely in the drawer and allow them to open without the lipsticks getting stuck.

This organizer I found at Home Goods and I thought it was the perfect addition for the top of the three drawer organizer. This one I have to say was expensive for what it can really hold, but it was an impulse buy. So here it is, it ran for $13.99

As you can see in the picture above this organizer has the space to set your larger items on the left and stand a few liners and lipsticks on the right. This is a real nice starter piece for young girls who are starting out with makeup. *Warning: Purchasing these sets can cause you to go a little cray cray and lead you to a makeup collection extravaganza! (You've. Been. Warned)

These other three organizers I found were at TJ MAX by Madesmart Housewares. These here I thought would be the perfect organizer bins to hold my single blushes.  They are 14x4 bins and they fit perfectly in my Ikea Alex Drawers side by side.

What's neat about these bins is the rubber base, it makes it so that the blushes stay in place which is a big help. Unfortunately they did not have all three bins in the same color so I had to take what was available. At $3.99 I could not leave these behind and pass them up. Another plus about these are the little rubber legs under the bins shown in the picture below. They are a major help in keeping the bins from shifting in the drawer as shown in the image below.

The last organizer tray I want to share with you is this one I found at Walmart for $6.00 This tray has six compartments and is so helpful for separating your products. Its stupid affordable and perfect for the Ikea Alex drawers however it does float because the edges hang on the sides of the drawer. I like that but I opt to use it in my long vanity drawer. I have to say that this one does scratch easily but because it is put way I don't mind that much. The material is a more thin type of plastic and are not handled with care at the store. The price for it makes up for it, but I do have to add that if you drop this on a hard surface its possible that it will crack. Below is how I use this organizer.

That's it loves this is how I un-cluttered my drawers and made my self more organized. I hope that I've inspired you to clean up your mess and give your beautiful makeup a showcase worthy spot in your room.  I listed where I purchased my pieces and gave you ideas of storage for cheap while still looking expensive. Another item I put on top of my vanity is my makeup brushes. I purchased a glass rectangular vase from Ross and filled it with plastic pebbles from Michaels craft stores and stuck my brushes in there as a beautiful display. Of course they look extra beautiful when they are clean. Get a look at it, I featured it in my Six Must Have Makeup Brushes post see it here

Thank you for sticking to the end of this long post, but I really wanted to share this one with you all. We are coming upon the end of September and I'm planning posts for October now. What Guys Love for You to Do, But Won't Admit

The men these days can be so much like us girls, whether they admit it out loud or not. Today I'm going to share a few things my man loves for me to do but would never speak of it with his pals. Guys like to be pampered just like us girls, they too want to look their best (Now I'm hoping its all for me lol).

Manicures: Guys make fun of and complain all they want about the time we spend at the nail salon, but take him in for a manicure and after seeing the results I guarantee he will love it and want to go back. That or he will have you polishing his nails. A while ago I kept messing around with my love asking him to let me buff his nails and bring out that natural shine. Finally he gave in and said do one.  When I did the one he was in so in awe that he had me finish the other nine nails. The excuse was that it just would not look right if only one was done. Now, every now and then he will  ask me when I'll have some time to "buff" his nails. He uses the work Buff because its more manly... LOL

Face Masks: Just like us girls guys care about having clear skin free of pimples and blackheads. If you can get your guy to join in on a face mask Sunday and sees and feels a difference, they will want to be a part of your Sunday Face Mask ritual (Can you imagine guys in face masks watching Sunday Football on the couch! That's an Image). Guys love for us to help them out with all that's beauty, sometimes my Love will come to me saying, "Look at that pimple, what can you do about it!" (In full panic) "Can you clean and clear it?" Yes these ARE his words. So at that point I get to pull out my products and pamper is cute little face using the whole shebang! Yes, toner and everything my bathroom becomes  Le Cervantes Spa.

Bubble Baths: If you thought Chandlers obsession with Bubble baths and bath salts was a bit cray well your wrong. Lots of guys love to have their girl run a hot bubble bath for them. We went on Vacation about three years ago to Cancun and we had  Jacuzzi in our room. This man made sure to get in there The Last Day with a mountain of Bubbles. I just stood there looking at him like I was watching a toddler.

Hair Conditioner: This was a new one for me. I have been cutting my loves hair for about four years now and recently I noticed his hair was thinning.....OH MY GOSH he immediately asked what he could do about it. Well to my knowledge that is something that just happens to men, but I found this product at Walmart called Hair Fertilizer and we started applying that to his head every two to three weeks and we noticed a big difference in the thickness of his hair. It looks so much more full now and the scalp is defiantly much more covered. He loves it not only because it helps our his hair but  because he gets a head massage which helps to stimulate the hair follicle for faster hair growth. Not only do we use the hair the hair fertilizer but he also gets into my hair conditioner a few times a week and says his hair feels so soft.

Teeth Whitening: Men could be self cautious about their teeth especially if you mention that the shade is less then white. My love has me order Whitening Lightning's Dial A Smile system via Hautelook to help out his smile. I get to help him out with brushing it on his teeth and and making sure the process goes smoothly. He Loves the Attention.

Now all these are beauty related things that they love for us girls to do for them but are not all about advertising it and its OK I find it endearing really. Its a way to bond a little more intimately in the comfort of your own home. I feel like it is a healthy way to grow a relationship and be able to connect with your significant other in your own girlie world. We will sit through their foot ball games and watch them play Call of Duty all they want but guess what they are going sit and let us make them pretty, and they are going to love it.  That can be your little secret.

Lust for Nude | Maybelline

I have been lusting over the New Color Sensational The Buffs Lipstick Collection, however every time I got to the Drugstore to take a look at them I would find that they'd all be broken opened and swatched! How annoying right? Finally this weekend my love and I went to a Target in the area we were visiting and I found the Maybelline lipsticks recently stocked! YES!!! Not only were they stocked but they were also on sale. So I picked up three of the ones I had been wanting to try. I needed up picking up the shades 910 Bare All, 920 Nude Lust, and 955 Espresso Exposed. Here are some lip swatches:

910 Bare All-
I like this color but I feel like it could be a difficult color to wear on a day by day bases without a gloss over it for other skin tones. It washes out my lips but not in a bad way. I actually like how it looks on my lips.

920 Nude Lust-
This color is such a perfect nude.  This is the nude I see my self carrying in my purse day to day. I love the Maybelline Color Sensational lipsticks Formula. It is creamy, pigmented, and most important the smell and taste are not over whelming. There is nothing worse than a nasty tasting and smelling lipstick. This one hits all categories.

955 Espresso Exposed-
Surprisingly this color is not as dark as I expected it to be, but it was not disappointing. I really love the color. Its an alternative to a Burgundy or Black Vampy lipstick color. The look is more of a Brown Burgundy in person. The Picture does not do this baby justice.

Maybelline Face Studio Master Hi-Light Blush is another product that was on my wish list. I'm going to be honest Mosaic Blushes scare me because I don't like not knowing what the shade will look like on my face. I appreciate its beauty in the pan but I had never picked one up for this reason, but here's to the first time. To be sincere I'm so happy I took a chance on this little treasure of a blush because I love the color and how it adds a glow to my cheeks. I decided on buying the shade Nude 10. You can see how it looks in the pictures above with the lipstick swatches. BEAUTIFUL. It translates to a glowing peachy color. There are three more blush colors in the line and I feel like I just might have to pick them up as well because I am so pleasantly surprised with this one. There are two Bronzer shades as well and the Light Bronze 50 looks like a color I would love.

The last two Maybelline Products I picked up were two of the Color Elixir's by Color sensational. These are AMAZING. The Glosses are nicely pigmented and feel great on the lips. They have almost  like a plush or cushiony feeling. The smell reminds me of a barbie bottle of perfume that came with one of my barbie dolls when I was a kid. That probably means nothing to you but go have a sniff of one of these and BAM there you go thats what I was smelling when I was a kid. The formula is smooth and not thick like a balm. The applicator is soft and is almost has a furry feeling. The wonderful thing is that they wear great and last a good amount of time on the lips. I will defiantly be looking into picking up a few more shades because the price is reasonable and the color selection is generous.

What have you been Lusting over? Let us know in the comments below.

A Flawless Face | Makeup Products

My face is by no means flawless, but with the help of a few makeup products and a proper skincare routine we can get quite close to flawless in a matter of minutes so take some notes my loves. Taking care of your skin is the first step in achieving a flawless appearance, so make sure your taking care of your skin. See what products I use in my skin care routine here

Today I'm going to focus on the cosmetic products I like to use.

Primer is one of the the products that's most neglected. Many have the mind set of I can do with out it and that was me. It wasn't until recently that I decided to incorporate a Face Primer in my routine, however I have to confess I don't use primer everyday under my foundation. I mostly use a primer when I have to attend an event and I want my makeup to last a long time. There are an overwhelming amount of primers out there and it is important that you find one for your skin type (ie. normal, dry, oily, or combo). The best thing you can do is research research research before you buy. Go online and read reviews and product comparisons, it saves loads of money. Personally I want a primer that will diminish the appearance of my pores and gives my face a smooth finish while holding my foundation in place. Currently I've been enjoying L’oréal’s Studio Secrets Professional Magic Perfecting Base.

I do have to warn you that this jar of primer is SMALL. I put these little bow studs next the jar to give you an idea of how small it was but looking at the picture now I feel like the jar looks super big. This product can run under $10 depending on where you buy it. Target & Walmart currently has a lower price than Ulta.

The product is a light pink paste formula as you can see above in the jar and on my hand.

The key to this product is to smooth it out quickly without over working it into the skin. You want to apply it as a thin layer over your problem areas like the forehead, cheeks or anywhere there are large pores and fine lines you want to fade out.

The image above shows how the product starts to dry up and crumble when you over (rub) work it into the skin. The image below shows what it should look like, a smooth and velvety soft matte finish to the skin.

This primer makes the perfect layer between my skin and foundation. It allows for a pore-less fine line free base. A little bit of this product goes a long way for me, especially because I only apply it to the problem areas of my face where I tend to get oily and have the majority of my pores.

The Beauty Blender is the ideal tool to use for applying foundation. I mentioned the Beauty Blender in my 6 Must Have Makeup Brushes post earlier this month (click the link to have a read). This little sponge allows for a streak free makeup application and wastes little product which is a big plus in my book. Using the beauty blender wet makes it so that the sponge does not soak up your foundation. Instead the foundation sits on top of the sponge and delivers the product to your face by simply bouncing the sponge on your skin leaving you with an airbrushed look.
I like to use Maybelline's Instant Age Rewind Concealer in the under eye area to brighten. Applying the concealer in an upside-down triangle lets me blend the product down towards my cheeks and brighten up my face giving me a more Kim K look. Another reason I blend down that far is because it  helps cover up the pores on my cheeks. Something about how the light catches on the product helps diffuse the appearance of my pores. I LOVE IT!

The only thing that bothers me about this product is the sponge applicator, it looks so messy and gross but the product it delivers is divine so I put up with it

Here is a swatch of the shade it's called fair and the consistency allows for easy blending while being perfectly opaque. Best part is that its a drugstore product that super affordable.

The last Product I use to get that flawless face is e.l.f.'s High Definition Powder. It took me a while to warm up to this product because it can get messy. This powder sets my foundation and concealer leaving my face with looking pretty good! It is so finely milled that it creates a flawless and smooth finish.
This e.l.f High Definition Powder is a translucent shade. Although I feel that if you apply too much of the powder it can come off as a white cast on the face. I use this powder with a Sigma Large Powder F30 Brush to set my foundation and a real techniques setting brush to set my concealer. The picture shows how messy this product can be. This is why it annoyed me at first. I expressed that in a comment one time and almost had my head bit off by it... Gee it was an opinion about the product no need for rudeness. Any way IT IS MESSY even with that powder puff (I was scolded about keep the PUFF IN THERE) well its in there...

Apart for the messy I do love the what it does on my face. The picture above shows the concealer set by the e.l.f.'s High Definition Powder, and it looks amazing.

These are my opinions about the products I use to give my face that flawless look I like. What products are you using please share with me in the comments below. I'm open to new products to try out so let me you what you like and what you think about the products I mentioned.
