Kinky Lips | You Need to Try This

Have you ever looked through a magazine and came across an ad featuring lushes kinky lips and wondered, are those really her lips or are they edited? Well to say the truth if its in a magazine ad more than likely there is some help involved, but don't worry in today's post we will be sharing our take on how to make our lips look fuller.

The first step is to find an exfoliating scrub for your lips. There are so many out in the market currently, but at the end of they day your just using sugar and oil to rub on your lips and gently remove dry chapped skin that sits on top. You can pay a load of money, minimal or plainly just DIY it. A nice inexpensive one is e.l.f. Studio Lip Exfoliator, for a just $3.00 your are getting an exfoliator that is infused with Vitamin E, Shea Butter, Avocado, Grape and Jojoba Oils. Using the scrub of your choice exfoliate your lips by using circular and back n' forth motions with your finger.

The next step is to apply a lip balm to nourish your freshly exfoliated lips. Depending on how chapped your lips were they might need some time for recovery. If you enjoy lip balms with a minty sensation Burt's Bees has a Beeswax Lip Balm with peppermint oil that leaves your lips with a refreshing tingle. If the tingle is not your thing, use a different one. We are loving eos Smooth Sphere Lip Balm in Pomegranate Raspberry, apply this to condition and prep for lipstick while you finish your face makeup.

When your ready to finish your lips use a makeup remover wipe to remove the the lip balm. If you want to enlarge the look of your lips and appear fuller, use a lip liner that matches the your choice of lipstick and outline slightly above the natural lip line to enhance the size of your lips. Make sure to feather in the the lip liner but don't cover the center most highest point of the lips. By keeping this area lighter your lips will appear more plush and pouty. Feathering in the lip liner will also help your lipstick last longer on the lips.

Following with your lipstick of choice use a lip brush to apply the lipstick. This will insure you have more control then when applying straight out of the tube. Using a lip brush will also allow the lipstick to be applied in-between the lines of the lips.

Unfortunately the lips are one of the features that can give away a woman's age, but don't worry there is a way to plump up without using the needle. Using a lip plumping gloss can help eliminate (temporary) the appearance of those lip lines, and give you that highly sought after Angelina Jolie pouty plush effect. Again the options for a lip plumping lip gloss are enormous and so can some of the price tags. So if you want a budget friendly lip plumper look into NYX pump it up lip plumber it is infused with a peptide that improve collagen. This line has a few shade options but by having a more transparent shade like Pamela allows you to use it on top of any lipstick shade without changing the color.

These are the steps you can take to mimic those lip ads in the magazines. You too can have amazing looking kinky lips that will drive the boys cray cray!
